In this article we discuss why an action item with an assignee may sync to other platforms without an assignee.
Does Not Have An Account in Other Platform
When an action item in Fellow has an assignee but syncs to another platform without an assignee, this indicates the assignee may not have an account on that other platform. For example, if I assigned an action item to my teammate and sent the item to ClickUp, but that teammate does not use ClickUp, then there will be no assignee for that item when it appears in ClickUp.
โ
This can happen when sending action items to Asana, Trello, ClickUp, Monday, or Linear if the assignee does not have an account in that platform.
Emails Do Not Match Between Platforms
This can also occur if the user has account in the other platform, but the email address used is not the same as the one they use in Fellow. If you can not change the email you use on the other platform, we can add the email as an alias to your Fellow account. If your team uses SCIM, the alias may be added this way. If not, please chat into support@fellow.co or click the blue circle in the bottom right of your screen and we can take care of this for you!
Case Sensitivity in Asana
Emails are case sensitive in Asana, which means your email in Fellow must match your email in Asana including any upper or lower case characters. If your emails do not match in this way, we recommend editing your email in Asana to match your email in Fellow if possible. If this is not an option, please chat into us at support@fellow.co, or from the blue circle in the bottom right of your screen.
