If you're having problems connecting to Slack or understanding the error messages that you're seeing, the article below will help get you set up!

Connecting Fellow and Slack from within Slack

If you're trying to connect to Fellow and Slack, and you notice nothing is happening after initiating the connection, it could be because you're connecting to Fellow from within Slack.

You will instead need to connect Slack to Fellow from within Fellow itself. To do that, head to your User settings page and then head into your Apps and integrations. There you will find your Slack integration box where you can connect Fellow to Slack with no issues.

Error message: Slack workspace connected to a different Fellow workspace

If you're connecting to Slack from within Fellow, and you come across an error message saying "This Slack workspace is already connected to another Fellow workspace. Please contact support for assistance." This would indicate that there is a separate Fellow workspace that is already connected to the Slack workspace you're looking to connect to. You can only connect a Slack workspace to one Fellow workspace.

If you're looking to connect to that Slack workspace, it will first need to be disconnected from the other Fellow workspace by our Support team. In order for the support team to process this, they will first need confirmation from the other Fellow workspace's Administrator that it is okay to do. Once disconnected, you can connect to that Slack workspace on your Fellow workspace.

Error message: Only one workspace can be connected to a Fellow workspace

If you're connecting to Slack from within Fellow, and you come across an error message saying "You tried to connect to as Slack workspace "x", but this Fellow workspace is currently connect to "X." Only one Slack workspace can be connected to a Fellow workspace." This would indicate that your current Fellow workspace is already connected to a Slack workspace and you can only connect one Slack workspace to one Fellow workspace.

In this case, you can reach out to our Support team to disconnect the current connected Slack workspace. In order for Support to process this, they will first need confirmation from your workspace Administrator. Once it has been disconnected, you can connect to the other Slack workspace you were looking to connect to.
