How do I add a direct report?

As a manager, you will need to add your direct reports in Fellow in order to best manage your relationships. There are a few ways you can do that depending on the situation that you are in:

1. If the user does not currently have a Fellow account:

  • Invite them to Fellow! You can do this via the invite button in the bottom left hand corner or via the invite button at the top of the home page.

The invite icon on the top of your home panel.

The invite icon on the bottom left.

  • You will then be prompted to enter the email address of the new user and confirm that the email is correct

  • Select your reporting relationship with that new user. If you are inviting a direct report, then choose the option “reports to me”.

  • Send the invite. This person will appear in your 1-on-1 section. If they are your direct report, then they will show up under "My Direct Reports".

 2. If your direct report already has a Fellow account:

  • Navigate to User Settings. When the popup appears, under the Profile tab, scroll down to the 'Direct Reports' section. Click on the Add Direct Report button. Search for the name of your direct reports and click Add.

  • OR you can ask your direct report to go to their User Settings → and select your name as their manager from the drop down menu.

 3. You can contact your workspace administrator, and have them update the reporting relationships.

How do I change my manager?

To add/change your manager, go to User Settings and select your manager from the drop down menu.

How do I hide a 1-on-1 relationship?

You can hide a relationship by clicking on the triple dot menu --> remove from home panel. When you remove a 1-on-1 relationship from your home panel, you will still be able to search for these notes using our search feature at the top of your home page.
