Sometimes, things go wrong! If things go wrong with the Fellow Desktop app for Windows, follow these next steps if:

  • You are experiencing issues with the Fellow Desktop app for windows including:

    • Randomly crashing at startup and is not resolved with a restart

  • OR a member of the Fellow support team has asked you to follow the following instructions

Steps

You'll need to close Fellow in the system tray and make sure all Fellow processes are terminated.

Then delete the following folders:

  1. %AppData%/Fellow

  2. %LocalAppData%/Fellow

To find these folders:

  1. Hit the Start button + R

  2. Enter %appdata% in the run window and hit enter

  3. Then write %localappdata% in the run window and hit enter

  4. Locate the "Fellow" folder in both of those windows and delete it.

    1. If your OS tells you that the file cannot be deleted because it's still in use, open up the Task Manager and terminate all instances of Fellow there and in the startup tab

  5. Restart your system

  6. Reinstall via Windows Download
