How to configure the Fellow Okta integration for single sign-on

Here is how to set-up the Fellow Okta Integration:

  1. Enable the Okta integration in Fellow.

    1. From a workspace administrator account, navigate to the Account Integrations section in Settings, and then to the Okta card.

    2. Click the “Connect” button on the top right corner of the page:

    3. You will then see this form: (Keep this form open, it will be filled in the next step)

  2. Enabling the Fellow integration in Okta.

    1. Log in to your Okta account, and navigate to Applications (URL: https://<your_workspace>.okta.com/admin/apps/active)

    2. Click Browse App Catalog, search for "Fellow.app", and click the Add button

    3. You will reach the integration configuration form Add Fellow.app, where you need to specify your Fellow subdomain.

      Copy it from Fellow form:

      And paste into this form:

      Then press Done to add the integration.

    4. On the integration page, there will be multiple tabs.

      1. Click on the Sign on tab.

      2. Copy the Client ID and Client secret values by clicking the buttons highlighted in the image below:

    5. Paste those values into the corresponding fields on the integration page in Fellow:

    6. For the last field, domain, navigate into the top right corner of your Okta account, and press the current user email to see a dropdown:

      The third line will be your domain, select and copy it. The domain will likely be in the format <subdomain>.okta.com

    7. You should now have all the required values filled!

      Press the Save button. After saving, a test authorization with Okta will be performed automatically, and if it is successful, the integrations will be available to use in Fellow:

      “Okta is enabled” checkmark indicates that the test passed successfully.

  3. Supported features

    1. Service Provider (SP)-Initiated Authentication (SSO) Flow - This authentication flow occurs when the user attempts to log in to the application from Fellow.

    2. Identity Provider (IDP)-Initiated Authentication (SSO) Flow - This authentication flow occurs when the user attempts to log in to Fellow from Okta
