We’re eager to share an exciting announcement (🥁 drum roll please…)
Action Items 2.0 🎉
The action items panel is no more, and has been replaced by a dedicated page for all your action items, located in the navigation bar (the checkbox icon)
[and stay tuned - we have a lot of new features coming up - like a Jira and Zapier integration: If you’d like to get on the early access list for our upcoming integrations, send us a note!]
There are two components of this new feature:
The Page Itself:
Action items from your private (and shared) streams, 1-on-1s, and meetings are compiled in the inbox bucket. For context, you'll see what note each action item came from. The page is divided broadly into different time categories - Today, Upcoming, Inbox, Later, Completed & Won't Do.
Tabs in your meetings, 1-on-1s, and streams:
Action items from past notes are compiled in the tab, and can be sorted by note (date), assignee, due date, status (incomplete/complete, or won’t do). It’s an easy way to check in and check off items :)
And… there is an additional tab in streams, meetings, and 1-on-1s, where you can see a list of action items from those streams.
Organize Your Action Items
You'll be able to organize your action items into what needs to be done today, upcoming, later, and won't do by simply dragging the action items between sections.
Copy To Another Note
As you go through the list of outstanding action items, you may want to move items over to your Daily Planner or maybe a Group Project todo-list.
To do this, select the “Copy To…” option from the three dots drop down and select the place where you want it to go.
By linking the item, if the item gets checked off once - it will be checked off in all locations.
Search for Keywords/Meetings
In the top right hand corner, there is a search bar. Here you can enter any keywords or the name of the meeting to quickly find the action item that you are looking for.
Mark as Won’t Do
By clicking on the three vertical dots at the far end of the line, you will see more options including “Mark as Won’t Do”. This is for times when an action item is no longer relevant.
Create Action Items
If there is something missing, you can create an action item directly in your action items list.
That’s a quick overview.
